In II Thessalonians chapter 2, the passage warns Christians not to be deceived because before Christ returns, a great rebellion will happen, and a powerful figure, the “man of lawlessness”, will rise up against God. This person will claim divine authority, placing himself above God and deceiving many.

His arrival will be Satan’s work, using false miracles, signs, and wonders to make lies seem like truth. Many will fall for it because they have rejected the truth of God and instead embraced deception. Because they refused to love the truth, God allows them to be consumed by their own delusions, confirming their choice to believe lies rather than seek righteousness.

This is a warning to Christians today: deception doesn’t always appear as evil to those who believe the deception—it often looks good, powerful, and even “godly.”

Those who follow political or religious figures that twist God’s truth for personal power are in danger of this very deception. God is separating those who truly follow Christ from those who only claim to.

Christians who follow Christ's teachings are asking those who identify as "Christian" to an awakening: YOU SCREWED UP!

Awaken, Repent, Stand!

Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a heavy heart, knowing that I have been deceived. I see now that I allowed lies to shape my thinking, to justify my actions, and to lead me away from Your truth. I have sinned against You, against myself, and against my neighbors. I have called good what is evil and turned my heart away from the love and righteousness You desire.

Lord, I no longer want to shape Your truth to fit my beliefs—I want Your truth alone to shape me. I reject the deception I once embraced, and I turn away from the sin that has kept me from walking in Your light. Expose every lie I have believed, no matter how comfortable it felt, and replace it with the clarity of Your Word.

Forgive me, God. Wash me clean of the pride, anger, and self-righteousness that made it easy to be deceived. Help me to walk in humility, to seek justice, and to love my neighbor as You have commanded. Give me discernment so that I will no longer be led astray by those who twist Your name for their own gain. Let my life be a testimony not of my opinions, but of Your grace, Your love, and Your transforming power.

I surrender completely to You, Lord. Shape me, refine me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

In the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, I pray. Amen.
